The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is a student organization that meets in Mr. Rose’s classroom – room 206 – on Thursday mornings form 7:05- 7:25. Students don’t have to be athletes to come to the meetings; anybody can come.

Students open up with prayer. Then one leader picks a lesson that relates to life and high school and the group discusses the lesson. Then they close with prayer. The students who lead the organization this year are Brandi Lumpkin and Chelsea Mann.

FCA isn’t just at Spotsy. It is an international organization. FCA was founded in 1954. Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a not-for-profit evangelical Christian organization that has been based in Kansas City, Missouri since 1956. Members are encouraged to be athletes but are not required to be.

FCA is the largest interdenominational school-based sports organization in the United States. FCA uses the influence of coaches and athletes as a means of Christian evangelism. The sports that the international organization supports are baseball, cheerleading, endurance, golf, health and fitness, hockey, lacrosse, motocross, skateboarding, surfing, and wrestling.

FCA is a great way to get involved in your school and make new friends that share a common belief as you.
