Anna (Amy Adams) and cardiologist boyfriend Jeremy (Adam Scott) have been together for four years. When Jeremy has to go to Dublin, Ireland for a medical meeting, Anna follows him, but every superstitious act seems to happen to her. However, Anna just shrugs it off because she doesn’t believe in superstitions.

Frustrated from having no ring on her ring finger, she follows her father’s advice and decides to pop the big question herself. While traveling to Dublin, the weather stops Anna from continuing her journey by air. After walking for what seems like forever in the pouring down rain, she stops at a small town in the middle of nowhere and hires a handsome but surly Irish innkeeper named Declan (Mathew Goode) to take her the rest of the way. While Anna and Declan travel along they start to develop a relationship in which they are rude to each other but they also look out for each other.

When Anna makes it to Dublin, she is not the one giving the surprise, she is the one getting the surprise.

This movie is very comical and romantic. I would recommend this movie to those who believe in love at first sight, along with those who like some laughs. I found this movie very enjoyable. However, the preview seems to give the plot of the story away, but that was the only disappointing part.

After you watch this movie ask yourself: what would you do with your 60 seconds?
