Standing in one of the prettiest cities in the world, in front of a wishing fountain, you would expect the average tourister to toss their coin in, make an exaggerated wish beyond their realistic reach, and move on to the next monument. Well, Beth (Kristin Bell) is the farthest thing from the “average tourister” while visiting Rome.

During her last-minute trip to Italy for her sister’s wedding, she manages to lift a few coins from the so-called wishing fountain causing the original owners of the coins to fall in love with her. Having bad past experiences with love, Beth isn’t too optimistic towards the four men doting over her. Luckily, a charming reporter, Nick (Josh Duhamel), steps into the picture to help her defeat her current opinion of love being meant for fairytales, but the ultimate question is: is he just one of the coin-tossing fools or is he true love?

In my opinion, When in Rome keeps you clueless to what could happen next with Beth’s various love lives. Both, Kristin Bell and Josh Duhamel pulled together a performance charming enough for everyone to see.
