Do you like to have your mind played with? Do you crave for that constant wondering what’s going to happen next? Leonardo DiCaprio (Teddy Daniels) and Mark Ruffalo (Chuck Aule) star in the new horrifying movie Shutter Island. Teddy Daniels, a soon to be U.S. Marshal, is assigned to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a patient from Boston’s Shutter Island Ashecliffe Hospital for the criminally insane.
“It’s wild [and] it really messed with my head,” stated Jordan McLeod
Not long after he arrives on the bone-chilling island, Teddy comes to wonder whether he hasn’t been brought there as part of a twisted plot by hospital doctors. With his intelligent investigating skills, Teddy collects enough clues that provide him with a lead, but the hospital refuses to grant him access to past records that uncover the arcane island’s biggest secrets. High winds and crashing waves due to the brewing hurricane have turned off all communications to the mainland. Just when things couldn’t get worse, more dangerous criminals are unleashed from the darkness and more clues start to multiply. Then Teddy starts to doubt everything. Just keep in mind: things aren’t always what they seem to be.
“I saw the movie this past weekend and it was so worth my eight dollars,” laughed Victoria Sorrell.
This movie was great. I would recommend it to any mystery lovers or just anyone who likes their brains messed with. So check it out at your nearest theater. The movie is two hours and eighteen minutes long and is rated R.
