It always seems that if a book starts out as a book it should never become a movie. This is defiantly the case for the book Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohan and David Levithan. I’m glad that I didn’t read the book before I saw the movie because if I had then the movie would have been very disappointing.

This book is hilarious and is always keeps you guessing. Nick is a sweet guy and is depicted as a major nerd in the movie, but in the book he seems more like a hunk. Norah is a little confused about what to do with her life, but that really adds to her charm. All the characters are well rounded, and you get just enough information to leave you wanting more up until the very end.

This book is really all about forgetting about the past and living for the present. Life is too short to be wasted on being cautious. You shouldn’t live your life for other people, especially the people who have hurt you. This book is a great motivator for anyone who has ever suffered through a hurtful break up. There is always someone else out there, you just need to be willing to go out there and find them.
