These are the golden years, the years we are in high school, the years we create the memories that will last a lifetime. This is the time when many of us decide who we are, and many times we display this through our clothing. As you walk through the halls of Spotsylvania High you may see many different types of people. You can tell a few character traits out about some students just by looking at their clothing choice. It may be loud and obnoxious, quiet and subtle, or comfortable and laid back.

Aaron Kinard, a senior attending Spotsylvania High School, stated, “Usually I just wear my skinny jeans and a cute shirt. I don’t dress to impress anyone else but myself. I guess you could call my style ‘Whatever Looks Good on Me’.”

Many students in Spotsylvania High can be classified in Kinard’s style. However, we have students that dress comfortable, sporty, dark, skater, and preppy as well.

Just a few of the “hot” stores that many of our students shop at are Hollister, Charlotte Russe, American Eagle, Gander Mountain, Pacsun, Bass Pro Shop, Papaya, Target, as well as many more clothing stores.

“OMG Hollister is like my favorite store ever to shop. I like spend my whole paycheck there; oh and I work there too,” said Senior Owen Payne, a fashionable child protégée.

One student, Matt Houston classifies himself as an “Athletic Casual Style.”

“My style usually consists of jeans, fresh kicks, and a William and Mary hoodie.”  Houston stated.

Of the many students attending Spotsylvania High, we have a wide range of personalities and style. Many young students here have not yet found out what their style is quite yet, and are trying many different styles in order to find the “one” that fits them the best. Spotsylvania High School is very fortunate to be able to have such a wide variety of young individuals. If students continue to express themselves in the appropriate manner, they will keep this school an interesting place for many students to come.
