Romantic braids and other simple hairstyles are perfect for Valentine’s Day, but these easy ways to look sweet and stylish can be worn everyday with ease.

A Taylor Swift bun is particularly popular and also simpler to achieve than what people think. This style is frequently seen on Taylor Swift (hence the name) with her signature curls. However this can be done with any type of hair. Gather your hair to side of your head, as if you are going to create a side ponytail. Pull your hair through a hair tie but, before looping it, twist the length of your hair and wrap it, like a cinnamon bun on the side of your head. Then loop your through the hair tie so that it is snug. Some people like to lightly pull on the edges of the bun to give it a messy effect, but that is your choice. The style looks great either way. Lastly, pin the bun to your head so it is secure, but be generous with bobby pins. Finish off with a smoothing/ texturizing wax or hair spray.

For another quick and simple hairstyle, simply remove your bobby pins and release your bun for a sweet side pony tail. To make it more feminine, add a flower of bow clip anywhere you want.

A four strand braid looks like you spent hours on a complicated style, but is simple to achieve. Gather your hair to one side and divide your hair into four equal sections. To help you keep track, make a mental note to label each strand one, two, three, and four; four being the outermost strand. Take number four; go under three, over two, and under one. So basically, you’re going under, over, under. Be patient and practice on a friend first, doing this style on yourself can be tricky in the beginning. Again, you can choose to lightly pull on the side of our braid to make it look more voluminous, or pull on your layer to make your braid have a messy appeal.

A pompadour is a great way to show off your face and create and effortless style. A pompadour is what a lot of people know as a “Snookie Poof” from Jersey Shore. But, your version of a pompadour doesn’t have to be as extravagant. Take a small section of hair from the front of your hair and lightly spritz the back with hairspray. Lightly backcomb/tease the back of the section for volume. Attach the section to the top of your head and push it forward to make the pompadour larger. Pin with bobby pins; you might want to cross your pins to ensure that all of the hair is secure. An optional thing to do is to also lightly tease sections on the side of the pompadour to create volume on the sides of your head. Set with hair spray, wax, or gel.

Before taking your pompadour out, lightly gather your hair into a high (or low, your choice) ponytail for another cute hairstyle.

Whether you have a hot date or are simply going to school or work, anyone can rock these hairstyles. Even if you don’t have a date, go out for a good times with friends and use it as an excuse to wear one of these styles. Who knows, you might look so stylish that you’ll catch someone’s eye.
