The Fearless Iceman: Chuck Liddell

Chuck Liddell, who was born December 17, 1969, is an American mixed martial artist. He started learning about Koei-Kan karate at the age of 12. Liddell started to wrestle at California Polytechnic State University. He later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business/Accounting in 1995.

The SEG debuted its first Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event in 1993. Chuck Liddell has participated in the UFC since 1998. Liddell was considered the number one contender for the UFC light heavy weight title by 2002. He also holds the most knockout wins/ technical knockout wins in the UFC.

Liddell was chosen to represent the UFC in the Pride Grand Prix tournament in 2003 and to coach for the inaugural season of the UFC in 2005. Today, Liddell, nicknamed the “ICE MAN”, holds the record for the most victories in the UFC.

In 2004 Liddell won the Light Heavy weight title by a knocking out Randy Couture in just two minutes. Chuck loves to fight and is determined to win. Liddell has a record of 21-7-0; his defeats come from Rashad Evans, Kieth Jardine, Mauricio Rau, Quiton Jackson, Randy Couture, and Jeremy Horn.

The Iceman trains with an elite team of legends called team Pitfight. Chuck held his light heavyweight championship for over two years, one of the longest reigns in UFC history.
