Allergies can be a pain, more like headache! Allergies are a condition in which the immune system reacts abnormally to a foreign substance. Asthma and allergic diseases, such as allergic rhinitis, food allergy, and eczema are common allergies for all age groups;Don’t forget the pollen allergy. Some of the well known allergy symptoms everybody has dealt with at least once in their life are congestion, sore throat, itchy/watery eyes and migraines. The question is how do we suppress these horrific symptoms.

A congested nose is when your nose is “blocked up” with mucus. Yes mucus, also known as snot is, is very disgusting but it is extremely important for your  body to work properly. Take a shower,and hydrating. Taking a shower can help you if you are in a pinch for time. The steam from the shower loosens up the mucus in your nose. If you don’t want to take a shower, you can take a hot bowl of water and put your head over it for a few minutes.Staying hydrated helps a lot when dealing with a stuffy nose. Drinking fluids helps thin out mucus and relieving pressure on sinuses.

Sore throats are really aggravating. There are many ways to help a sore throat. Gargle, eat marshmallows, and drinking fluids are a few ways. Gargling warm salt water can loosen mucus and reduce swelling of the throat. Or eat a marshmallow, eating marshmallows can help your throat because the gelatin coats and soothes. Last but not least, drink plenty of fluids; it helps a lot.

Headaches are the absolute worst thing ever. If you have a headache try aromatherapy and tea. Aromas that help with headaches are peppermint and eucalyptus. Just put a little dab on your wrist. Drinking herbal teas are helpful.
